The Equal Justice Initiative has published extensive reports on America's history of racial injustice—from enslavement and lynching to segregation and mass incarceration—exposing how this legacy still shapes our criminal justice system today. Previously available in print, they were seeking to digitize these reports to make them more accessible.

For this long-form reading experience, I tested various navigation methods to ensure easy access and maintain reader engagement. I also collaborated with another designer in the visual exploration of designing a system that could work consistently across all reports.

What started as a print report has transformed into a dynamic digital experience that has powerful stories to tell, and inspires readers to become supporters and engage with the EJI community
